Bob has been around and involved with racing since he was a 2yr old being hauled around the old Jacksonville Speedway by his Mom and Dad. In his teenage years, Bob hung around the race shop of Barry Norris in Elkton Fl.. Wayne Shugart was the driver of the black #71 chevy. Barry would take Bob to the track and try to keep him out of harms way.The combo of Wayne and Barry won too many area race's to count. Later on Bob got in the way of, and aggravated Savannah Ga's Frank Brantly. At one point Frank allowed Bob to change the quick change gears...It was a monumental moment for Bob. Frank also took Bob on a trip around the Jax track at Pecan Park Rd. Frank put the gas to the motor and..............well.....wide eyes and smiles. After several years away from racing Bob is back and ready to give the driving side a try. IT'S GONNA BE A BLAST. |
My wife, adviser, accountant, reason I'm not in trouble all the time and best darn race car cleaner in the world. Zara is also responsible for the team merchandising at the tracks we race at. Without her this would not be possible.
